Fancee is young but very closely related to both of our studs, therefore,
we have decided to retire her from our breeding program.
She has now moved to join a wonderful family and be spoiled
rotten, as she should be

May is also a non carrier for collie eye
Due to difficult birthing, we made the decision to stop breeding her
for
her safety. She was a wonderful Mother but having babies was just too hard on her.
Maggy
is loved and spoiled in her new home.
What do we do with our collies when they are done breeding?
We do what is best for that specific collie
in question.
For Cali Sue and Buck, they are lifers, they are with us for their entire lives, this is what they
know and we are their family. Cali is now 10 and Buck is 9.
Maggy was young when we decided not to breed her any
longer due to terribly difficult deliveries. Being around other mothers with babies would have been hard on Maggy. We made
the decision to give her to a very nice young lady who spoils Maggy rotten. She has the good life.
Hero was retired
and neutered due to some breeding issues he had. Although we loved Hero very much, staying at Garlind Ridge around younger
more aggressive studs would be very hard on him. We neutered Hero then asked anyone who had one of his children if they would
like to add Hero to their collie family. We gave Hero to the family of Max, his son. Hero has a wonderful life with his son
and is a couch potato. What a great life he has.
We evaluate each and every situation as it comes, thinking of
what is best for that specific collie.
