We have found that
families serious about the commitment of a puppy are willing to wait for one of our puppies. With adopting a puppy, you are
committing to caring and loving this puppy for it's entire life.
Our Puppies are very special to us, therefore
*We do not sell to Pet Shops
*We
do not sell to Puppy Mills.
*Our puppies are not for resale-we expect them to live their entire lives with
the adoptive families if at all possible. If a family cannot care for the Garlind Ridge collie for any reason, this collie
should be returned to us.
*We do have puppy & collie visitation times welcoming those interested to come for a
visit at that time. With our large family, dairy farm, collies, and working off of the farm we are very busy. If
we granted visitations every time a family asked, we would have collie visitors nearly every weekend, taking away time
from our family time which is extremely important to us.
We
screen all potential adoptive families before they are put on our waiting/wish list for a Garlind Ridge puppy.
(puppy picking goes according to the date of when the questionaire is returned and accepted
as being on the waiting list)For the safety of our puppies, we do not allow visitors
until the puppies are at least 4 weeks of age. Please do not ask to see puppies younger than this. We appreciate you honoring
our request for the safety of our puppies.
Our collies are a passion of ours. We love our collies and do what is best for them and their offspring.
We place our puppies in the best possible homes and have the right to refuse anyone the adoption of one of our puppies
for any reason at any time should we not feel comfortable with it.

Our puppy packages include:
*one
sweet, loving, and prespoiled collie puppy (purebred collie from lines that have been carefully screened to produce the best
possible puppies being loving and healthy)
*First shots
We vaccinate according to the recommendations of
Jean Dodds, DVM, a world renowned vaccine research scientist
Our puppies receive Intervet Puppy Progard as recommended by Dr. Dodds. This is a
vaccination for distemper and parvovirus.
Please
research the over vaccinating that is being done and harming our canine friends. There are new recommended vaccination
guidelines many are unaware of.
*Dewclaws removed
*Three to four wormings before placement
*Copy
of the pedigree and AKC paperwork for each parent verifying born from AKC registered /purebred parents ----our puppies are
not sold with breeding rights, tget are companion puppies only! These puppies are to be spayed/neutered by the age of
8 months.
*Copy of DNA from father of puppy
*Pictures of both parents and grandparents if we have them which
we do have for most
* A photo collage of all of the puppies in the litter along with pictures of the parents
*Puppy pictures and updates several times a week
*A cloth to take home with the puppy. This cloth will have been rubbed on the collie Mom to keep
her scent near her baby, making his/her homecoming easier.
*Contract to be signed by seller and
buyer with guarantee by breeder
*Health guarantee
*We are always available should you have questions
*One

Much of the above will be e-mailed so that it can be saved on your PC and printed
if you so desire.
Our collies and puppies are treated
like family. Our girls give birth in our home on blankets with us by their side until long after the last puppy of the litter
has been born. Our puppies and their mothers have a puppy area/bed lined with flannel sheets on their floor for
the first 3 weeks of their lives. Newspapers are slippery and can be hard on the development of the bones in puppy. Once the
puppies begin to eat, they are moved to a different area in our home with a larger area for play (we call them their
puppy condos!) and interaction with their siblings. Their Mom is free to go in and play with the puppies or be outside
of the condo and keep a watchful eye over her puppies.
Note: We feel that lots and lots of love and handling is very important in the first few days and weeks
of a puppy's life. (This is called imprinting) We guarantee that your puppy will come prespoiled, having had lots of interaction
with our family, children and adults.

*It is very important for us to meet
the families adopting our puppies.* Whenever this is possible, this is certainly our first choice.
At
times, due to the distances, families are unable to drive for the puppy and the drives for the puppy would be very hard on
the puppy. Due to the long drives, we have decided that we would ship puppies but ONLY on from Madison, WI or Milwaukee, Wi
with the flights being the shortest for the puppy that we can find
Shipping
the puppy would be $400 which would be the cost of the airline ticket, Shipping crate, Vet check, Interstate Health Certificate
and delivery to the airport.
We keep in contact with all families adopting our puppies;
this is very important to us.

We expect our puppies to spend their entire lives in the home that adopts
them from us.
Breeders: We have had many breeders interested in our collies due to the health checks we do.
We do not advertise that we will sell to breeders since the majority of our collies go to pet homes which we love. At
times, after extensive screening, we have sold a puppy as a breeder to the right home that will treat them like family.
We know that manybreeders will trade or sell their dogs to improve their lines but that is not what we want for
our puppies. When our puppies are placed, we want them to have a lifetime home, living with a family, not in a kennel.
Please do not ask us about a Garlind Ridge collie puppy to join your breeding program unless this puppy will become a part
of your family for it's lifetime.
